Applesauce Nut Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of flour (all purpose)
3/4 c of sugar (granulated)
3 tsps of baking powder (Calumet)
1/2 tsp of cinnamon (ground)
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1 c of walnuts; chopped coarsely
1 pc of egg (large)
1 c of applesauce (Mott’s)
2 Tbsps of shortening; melted
Instructions:
Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×5x3-inch pan.
Combine flour, Calumet, cinnamon, soda, and salt inside a bowl; add the walnuts. Beat the eggs inside a bowl then add shortening and applesauce; beat them well. Add the mixture of flour; stir thoroughly till blended well.
Transfer onto prepared pan and bake for one hour. Let it cool inside the pan for ten mins. Take it out from the pan and let it cool for over a night.
