Baked Tomato Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
2/3 c of oil (olive)
1/4 c of grated cheese (Romano)
1 & 1/2 lbs of Italian tomatoes (plum); sliced lengthwise
3 cloves garlic; finely-chopped
1/4 c of dried breadcrumbs
Salt
1 tsp of dry oregano
Pepper
Penne
Instructions:
Have oven preheated to four hundred twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare and grease one bake dish.
You dip sliced edges of the tomatoes into oil & then arrange o dish w/ cut-side-up, fitting in a single layer closely. You combine salt, pepper, oregano, garlic, crumbs & cheese then sprinkle over the tomatoes.
Have dish baked for about 40 mins. Once drippings are almost burning, adjust into 375 degrees F. You combine tomatoes w/ penne, tossing well then serve at once.
