Balsamic Fig Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pound of black figs
1 chopped mission
1/3 c of wine (red)
A pinch of salt
1 Tbsp of vinegar (balsamic)
1/8 tsp of pepper (ground)
Fresh thyme sprig
1/2 tsp of sugar
Instructions:
Have everything combined in saucepan then add 1/2 c water. Boil w/ cover over high-heat. You reduce heat into simmer then cook half-covered for 20-30 min ’til fruit breaks.
Slightly cool then remove the thyme. Press this mixture thru a large holed sieve w/ rubberized spatula.
