Basic Green Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of chopped onions
2 c of dairy sourcream
1 c of chicken stock
1 Tbsp dried leaves of oregano
2 garlic cloves; crushed
4 ounces of chopped chiles (green)
1/2 pound of coarsely-chopped tomatillos
10 ounces of chopped spinach
1/2 c of veggie oil
Instructions:
Have onions cooked in heated oil i saucepan ’til tender. Add rest of the ingredients, excluding sourcream & stock. Cook w/ cover over mid-heat for about 5 mins, stirring often.
Transfer mixture into processor bowl fitted w/ blade then cover & process for 60 secs ’til smoothened. PUu back mixture into saucepan then pour in stock.
Heat ’til boiling then reduce the heat. Allow to simmer w/o cover for about 10 mins. Add sourcream, Cover & refrigerate ’til ready to use.
