Basic Teriyaki Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of wine (Mirin)
1 c of Japanese soysauce
1 Tbsp of sugar
1 c of sake
1 c of Dashi
Instructions:
Warm sake & mirin in saucepan placed over mid-heat. Remove pan away direct fire then ignite, shaking back & forth ’til flame subsides.
Put back pan into burner then add sugar, dashi & soysauce. Boil, then cool once done. Leave 1/2 c of sauce in pan then dip meat pieces to have them marinated. Grill meat then reduce sauce over high-heat ’til glaze thickens.
