Bbq Sauce Like Kenny Rogers Recipe

Ingredients:

1 c of applesauce
1/2 c of catsup (Heinz)
1-1/4 c of sugar (light brown)
6 Tbsps of juice (lemon)
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
1/2 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of salt (garlic)
1/2 tsp of cinnamon (ground)

Instructions:

Combine applesauce, catsup, sugar, juice, paprika, garlic salt, cinnamon, salt, and pepper inside a saucepan; let it boil for 4-5 mins while stirring constantly.

Reduce the heat into low then continue stirring the mixture for 3-5 mins till sugar has dissolved completely. Continue cooking, uncovered, above very gentle heat for fifteen mins, undisturbed.

Transfer mixture on a bain-marie. Use the sauce as the baste for chicken or ribs.
