Bolognese Meat Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
4 tsps of oil (olive oil)
1/2 c of onion; chopped
2 pcs of garlic cloves; chopped finely
1/4 c of carrot; chopped finely
1/4 c of celery; chopped finely
1 c of veal (ground)
1/2 c of milk (skim)
2 c of canned tomatoes (Italian); drained and chopped finely
1 tsp of salt
1/16 tsp of pepper
1/16 tsp of nutmeg (ground)
Instructions:
Heat the oil on a saucepan then saute onion along with garlic till onion becomes translucent and tender.
Add carrots along with celery then saute them for two mins. Add the veal then cook till browned; stir constantly to crumble them.
Add the milk then cook above gentle heat for 3 mins while occasionally stirring. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, and nutmeg; let it boil.
Lower down the heat then let it simmer for half an hour; stir occasionally till sauce becomes creamy and thick.
