Braised Pork Chops With Sour Cream Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Tbsps of oil (corn oil)
1/4 c of chopped carrots
1/4 c of chopped celery
1/2 c of chopped onions
1 Tbsp of garlic; chopped finely
1/4 tsp of thyme
1 pc of bay leaf
3 pcs of parsley sprigs (fresh)
1/4 c of wine (white, dry)
3/4 c of broth (chicken)
2 Tbsps of tomato paste
1 tsp of mustard (Dijon)
1/2 c of sour cream (dairy)
1/4 c of capers (jarred); drained
2 lbs of loin chops
Instructions:
Heat oil on a skillet then cook loin chops for 5 mins per side till golden. Scatter carrots, onion, celery, garlic, bay leaf, parsley, and thyme onto the loin chops; cook, covered for 10 mins.
Combine paste, wine, and broth; blend thoroughly then add onto skillet. Continue cooking for another 25 mins, covered; turn them once.
Take chops out and place on a plate; keep them warm. Add (sour) cream and mustard onto skillet; stir thoroughly and let it heat thoroughly, don’t boil.Place mixture through the sieve and press down to squeeze all the liquid.
Pour sauce onto a medium saucepan then add capers. Heat gently and don’t boil. Spoon sauce onto the warm chops.
