Bechamel Sauce – Microwave Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Tbsps of butter (unsalted)
2 Tbsps of flour (all purpose)
1/8 tsp of salt
1/16 tsp of hot sauce (Tabasco)
1 c of half-and-half
For the Garnish:
Chopped chives (fresh)
Instructions:
Place the butter on a microwave-safe bowl then cover with a plastic wrapper; melt inside the microwave for one min at a high setting.
Add flour, hot sauce, and salt; stir thoroughly till smooth. Slowly add half-and-half while whisking continuously till smooth.
Cover plastic wrapper then microwave again for two mins. Whisk thoroughly till smooth and microwave again for another 2 mins. Garnish as desired and serve while warm.
