Low Cholesterol Marinara Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb of ground steak (top round)
2 c of canned tomatoes (plum)
2 pcs cloves of garlic; chopped finely
2 tsps of oregano (fresh)
1/2 tsp of pepper flakes (red)
Ground black pepper (to taste)
1/2 c of onion; chopped
3 tsps of basil (fresh)
1/8 tsp of sugar (refined)
2 tsps of oil (olive oil)
2 tsps of tomato paste
Water

Instructions:

Place water on a a pan, about half inch up. Add the beef then saute till it is no longer pink. Add the tomatoes with their juice, garlic, onion, and paste onto the beef; stir thoroughly and let it simmer for 5 mins.

Add basil, (pepper) flakes, oregano, pepper, and sugar; cover then let it simmer for 10-15 mins till slightly thick. Add oil to add flavor.
