Bourbon has generally been part of several recipe ingredients already, from pastries, pies, fruitcakes, soups and puddings. But the Bourbon drink has generally been utilized for enhancing certain meat foods. One great example in using bourbon drinks would be for making a great barbeque sauce.

Whenever anyone prepares this Bourbon barbeque sauce, many think that it’s really difficult to create, but in actuality the preparation is really quite easy. Start off with one cup butter that’s already melted; simply use any kind of pan to melt the butter. Use two chopped onions that are medium in size then have these added to the butter, & then saut until everything turns golden-brown. If they’ve turned golden-brown add in three finely chopped and seeded green colored chilies plus three crushed garlic cloves. This entire mixture should be cooked using medium level heat in about five minutes.

Then, heat should be reduced to allow the sauce to start simmering to get that even more full bodied taste, then add in the rest of the ingredients: four cups ketchup, two tablespoonfuls of soy-sauce, two tablespoonfuls of Worcestershire, one tablespoonful honey, one cup brown-sugar, two tablespoonfuls of cider-vinegar, one tablespoonful of dry-mustard, & ground black-pepper. Stir mixture really well until all of the ingredients have been incorporated thoroughly.

Allow this to cook in approximately ten minutes, simmering, and then add in your Bourbon. Continue cooking this for about five minutes to create that saucy, kinda thick texture. Remove sauce from heat then transfer it to a clean bowl for it to cool down.

When sauce has cooled sufficiently, pour contents inside a clean glass or plastic jar and then store inside any dry, cool & dark area.
